Salmon Meatballs for Your Toddler Recipe

Finger foods with packed veggies are always a good addition to your toddler’s diet. It is a great practice to keep exposing them to different textures and flavors while ensuring they are getting the nutrition they need. Salmon is a great source of protein and healthy fats that includes all of the necessary building blocks for brain development.

Salmon Meatballs for Picky Toddlers

Ingredients

  • 1 piece skinless and boneless pink salmon, boiled and shredded
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 3 oz Café Baby Sweetest Potatoes Purée 
  • 1/4 cup carrots, finely grated
  • 3 tbsp Panko bread crumbs 
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

Step 2

In a large, deep, straight-sided skillet or heavy pot, bring several inches of water to a boil. Place salmon in the water, reduce heat, and cover. Cooking time should take 5 minutes or until salmon is opaque. 

Step 3

Remove salmon from water and set aside to cool. In a medium sized bowl,  mix additional ingredients together for your meatballs. 

Step 4

Once salmon has cooled, shred with a fork and add to your meatball mixture. 

Step 5

Roll into 1” wide balls and place in baking dish. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
